Hi, we are the Pinedas. We are a family of jewelry artisans based in Edmonton, Canada. We design and handcraft fine jewelry that celebrates natural beauty and individuality.
In the spirit of never letting a good crisis go to waste, we embarked on this creative journey during the 2020 pandemic lockdown. Designing and crafting jewelry is an outlet for our creative energies and a means to nurture our mental well-being. Using traditional metalsmithing techniques, we handcraft our wearable art in small batches, working with a variety of metals like gold, silver, and copper, as well as stones and precious gems. We view our jewelry not only as personal adornment, but as an art form—where the human body serves as a canvas, elevating each piece to its full potential while allowing the wearer to express their individuality.
It is our hope that the jewelry we create is filled with heart and soul—and that it brings you as much joy in wearing it as it gave us in creating it. By adorning yourself with our jewelry, take pride in knowing you are part of what makes each piece unique and beautiful.
When not squirreled away in our studio, you can find us roaming, playing, and howling at the moon with our four-legged family members in the shadow of the rocky spine of the American continents.
The Team
Mario — Senior Bench Monkey
Metal wrangler, story-forger, eternal apprentice. Mario works in stolen hours and quiet corners, chasing the old ways with modern hands. He brings reverence to the craft, guided by patience, grit, and an unshakable belief that beauty is earned, not rushed. When not at the bench, he walks the quiet edges of the world camera in hand—roaming forests, coastlines, and mountains in search of birds, solitude, and the kind of light that doesn't stay still. Veronica — The Boss & Chief Design Officer
Veronica is the true eye behind the shine. Equal parts muse and critic, she brings sharp design instincts, fierce honesty, and the rare gift of knowing when less is more. She’s the final say on form, feeling, and finish—and the one who sees beauty before it's born. Nothing leaves the bench without her blessing. Outside the studio, she is a seasoned traveler and fearless seeker of wonder, forever wandering toward the next coffee shop or map dot on the edge of somewhere new.
Matias — Junior Bench Monkey & Origin Spark
Matias may be the most junior member of the team, but don’t let that fool you—he’s the spark that started it all. He lit the first flame that would shape the soul of this studio. Though still wet behind the ears, his talents with the flame and the hammer keep the rest of the team on their toes. With a torch in one hand and mischief in the other, he reminds us that play and purpose are never far apart. Elusive beyond the studio walls, he lives a whirlwind life powered by laughter, late nights, and a social calendar that would humble any A-list celebrity.
Princess — Studio Feline & Chief Box Inspector
Serene, aloof, and entirely unimpressed by our creations, Princess oversees the studio with regal detachment. She purrs approval (or disdain) from the sunniest patch of floor and, when not napping, is always busy proving that there’s no box that cannot fit her. Her quiet presence keeps the heart rate down and the vibe just right. When not ruling from the studio floor, she curls into impossible places, meditates on life’s deeper mysteries, and plots the next treat heist—and possibly, world domination.
Chico — Studio K9 & Emotional Support Officer
Chico’s gifts include tactical snuggles, deadline stress relief, and walking break reminders. Gentle, goofy, and loyal to the bone, he reminds us that no matter what’s happening, slobbery, saliva-infused doggy kisses always make things better. Off duty, he’s an intrepid gardener, expert napper, and tireless guardian of snacks—both dropped and dreamed of.
